Abstract

Student brawls or fights are seen as social problems and moral issues involving student behavior or morals, therefore the role of Islamic religious education teachers is very important in forming religious character for students. This research aims to determine and analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in minimizing brawls between students at SMKS Wipama Cikupa Tangerang, and the factors that cause brawls between students. The research carried out was field research which was researched and analyzed theoretically (library research). The subjects of this research were Islamic religious education teachers and students of the Wipama Cikupa Tangerang Vocational School. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. Data validity using triangulation techniques. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the role of Islamic religious education teachers is to educate and guide students to always behave well (akhlakul karimah) according to Islamic teachings and avoid bad behavior, especially fights between students or brawls. The Islamic religious education teacher at Wipama Vocational School in minimizing brawls between Cikupa Tangerang students also plays a role as a motivator, informer, evaluator, organizer, transmitter and collaborator. Many factors can cause students to brawl, including: Bad school, family and community environmental factors. The rational factor is choies or the choice of students themselves who want to engage in brawls, social disorganization and labeling. The conclusion of this research is that Islamic religious education teachers play a role in providing learning, motivation and role models about good morals to students, and also convey learning about bad morals that must be avoided, such as brawls between students and others. Students who already know the factors that cause brawls must choose positive associations and keep themselves busy with religious activities.
