Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Islamic religious education teachers in building the independence of children with special needs in class 2 SDIT Ash-Shibgoh Bitung Jaya Kec. Cikupa Kab. Tangerang. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis using a case study. This research data collection technique through observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. The results of the study show that it seems that the process of change for children with special needs such as being able to take part in light school activities (own toilet, writing in a notebook, practicing prayer, etc.) is still at a low level. supervision of the accompanying teacher.
