Abstract

With the pandemic, it requires teachers and students to do learning from home, which requires teh use of information and communication technology as a medium, but the current reality is that many teacher are not professional in carrying out their duties and obligations. Most of the methods used by teachers when teaching are only monotonous. As in the case in SMPN 260 Jakarta, that the lack of information and communication skills for islamic religious education teachers. Even though they have not fully mastered the field of technology, even though the facilities and infrastucture are adequate. Then what is the principal’s strategy in improving the information and communication skills of the PAI teachers?

The result of this study indicate that the principal has a strategy in improving the information and communication skills of PAI teachers in various ways such as conducting group activities (learning together), making the operator’s work more effective by helping teachers work in using technology, and facilitating teachers to attend training/training related to teachers empowerment.
