Abstract

This study aims to find out how influential the use of lecture method is on students learning interest in Islamic education subjects for class IX SMPN 2 Kelapa Dua, Tangerang Regency. This research uses quantitative research with one independent variable and one dependent variable. The independent variable is the lecture method while the dependent variable is the student’s interest in learning. The population of the study was grade IX students at SMPN 2 Kelapa Dua with a sample of 55 students. Source of data come from teacher and student. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The research instrument validation technique uses validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis.  The tests results using simple linear regression analysis obtained a significance value of 0,000<,005 and t count 4,405>2,006 so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that the lecture method has a significant influence on students interest in learning in the subjects of Islamic religious education class IX at SMPN 2 Kelapa Dua.
