Abstract

Learning evaluation is an urgent step in ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process and the achievement of learning objectives, and this evaluation stage must be conducted by an educator either formatively or summatively. The progress and development of technology nowadays are very rapid, including Artificial Intelligence technology, which has a significant impact and brings changes in various aspects of life, including education. Islamic Religious Education has a strategic role in shaping the character and noble morals of students, therefore the subject of Islamic Religious Education must be effectively delivered to students. This study aims to understand and evaluate the extent of the effectiveness of AI technology implementation in Islamic Religious Education learning. The method used was descriptive qualitative, collecting data through interviews, observations and document analysis of research results using interactive analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that the use of AI provides convenience and efficiency for teachers in preparing assessment instruments, conducting initial corrections, and providing quick feedback to students. AI-based evaluation can enhance the objectivity of assessments and help students understand their learning achievements more clearly. Thus, this technology has the potential to become an effective tool that can ultimately improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era.
