Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how Far the level of spiritual intelligence of students, The role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers (PAI) in increasing students' spiritual intelligence, as well as Inhibiting and Supporting Factors in increasing the spiritual intelligence of students in grade XI Science 1 SMA International Baccalureate (IB). This research is a qualitative research (Field Research). The subjects of this study are Islamic Religious Education Teachers (PAI), and International Baccalaureate (IB) High School Students. The data collection technique uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. The data sources used in this study are primary data, namely PAI teachers, Vice Principal for Curriculum, Homeroom Teachers, and Students, and secondary data, namely books, or journals. The data validity test technique uses Triangulation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. The results of the study show that; (1) The level of spiritual intelligence of students in SMA IB is quite good. Students are able to apply spiritual values and principles in daily life. A student's level of spiritual intelligence can affect the way they make decisions, face challenges, and interact with others; (2) The Role of Islamic Religious Education Teachers play an important role in the formation of students' character and morals, through the teaching of Islamic values, students are taught about ethics, honesty, responsibility, and tolerance. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers always guide students in improving spiritual intelligence in carrying out ongoing religious activities; (3) Inhibiting factors are more dominant to internal and external factors. Meanwhile, the supporting factors in increasing students' spiritual intelligence are starting from the school, which consists of teachers, staff, and religious programs or extracurricular activities as well as parental support.
