PENGENALAN PENDIDIKAN LITERASI FINANSIAL MELALUI KEGIATAN MARKET DAY ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN

This study aims to determine the introduction of financial literacy education through Market Day activities and its impact on children's understanding of financial literacy at Fajar Islami Kindergarten. Financial literacy is important to be instilled from an early age so that children are able to understand the concept of money, distinguish between needs and wants, and learn to save and share. The problem to be studied is how to implement market day activities in introducing financial literacy. The method used is qualitative research with an observation, interview, and documentation approach. The findings of this study indicate that Market Day activities at Fajar Islami Kindergarten are able to provide an understanding of financial literacy for children aged 5-6 years. With high enthusiasm and being able to apply the concepts taught through direct experience, this activity not only equips children with financial knowledge, but also helps them develop social and moral skills. This study recommends that similar activities be carried out routinely to strengthen children's understanding of financial literacy. In addition, it is important to involve parents in this activity so that financial literacy values can be strengthened at home.
