HUBUNGAN KEMAMPUAN MENGHAFAL AL-QUR’AN DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the relationship between the ability to memorize the Qur'an with the learning outcomes of Islamic religious education of students at the Abu Bakar Ashiddiq Islamic Elementary School of Tahfidzul Qur'an. This research method is a quantitative correlational method. The results of the study showed that the Spearman correlation coefficient value was r = 0.501 with a significance level of p = 0.001 (Sig. 2-tailed). The number of respondents in the study was 57 students. Because the significance value was less than 0.05 (p < 0.05), the conclusion of the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the ability to memorize the Qur'an and student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This relationship is classified as moderate and positive, which means that the higher the ability to memorize the Qur'an, the higher the tendency is to increase PAI learning outcomes. The calculation of the coefficient of determination shows that the ability to memorize the Qur'an contributes 25.1% to PAI learning outcomes, while the remaining 74.9% is influenced by other factors outside the variables of this study.
