EKSPLORASI PENDEKATAN INKUIRI PADA MATA PELAJARAN FIKIH

This study explores the application of an inquiry approach in the learning of Fiqh subjects at MTs Ar-Ribathiyah, with the main objective of knowing and describing the critical thinking abilities of grade VIII students through active involvement in questioning, resource exploration, and problem solving, which not only encourages a deep understanding of Islamic principles but also transforms students from passive roles to independent and creative in seeking knowledge. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, this study also involves teachers and students as subjects, with data collection through documentation, interviews, and observations that are tested for credibility by triangulation methods, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model which includes condensation, presentation, and drawing data conclusions. The results show that the inquiry approach is effective in improving critical thinking skills at the low, middle, and high levels where high-level students excel in analysis and evaluation as well as student activity, creating an open learning environment that supports motivation, confidence, and readiness to face future challenges, although it requires adjustment to student’s conditions for optimal results in dynamic and holistic Fiqh learning according to educational objectives Islam.
