PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL HURUF DENGAN MEDIA BERGAMBAR ANAK USIA DINI

This study aims to determine the improvement of letter recognition skills in early childhood children aged 4–5 years through the use of picture media at RA Annida. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) following the Kurt Lewin model. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 8 children aged 4–5 years at RA Annida. The data sources were teachers and students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured using method triangulation, while data analysis employed both qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that activities using picture media improved letter recognition skills in children aged 4–5 years, from the pre-cycle to cycle I and from cycle I to cycle II. The conclusion of this study is that picture media can effectively enhance letter recognition skills in early childhood children aged 4–5 years at RA Annida.
