PENERAPAN METODE STORYTELLING DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA ANAK USIA DINI

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of the storytelling method as an instructional strategy to enhance the speaking abilities of early childhood learners. The issues explored in this study include: How is the speaking ability of early childhood learners, How is the storytelling method applied in the learning process, And how is the teacher’s role in implementing the storytelling method to develop children’s speaking skills, This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the teacher's role in implementing the storytelling method supported by visual media such as picture books, laptops, and hand puppets plays a significant part and effectively enhances the impact of storytelling on children's language development. Teachers not only serve as narrators who deliver stories engagingly, but also act as facilitators who create a conducive learning environment, motivators who inspire children to speak, contributors in selecting appropriate story materials, and evaluators who assess and reflect on the progress of children's speaking abilities on an ongoing basis.
