This study aims to improve numeracy literacy in children aged 5–6 years at the Arrahman playgroup by using the traditional congklak game as a learning medium. This is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 18 children aged 5–6 years. The data sources were teachers and students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data was ensured through method triangulation. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative analysis techniques. The research procedure followed the Kemmis and Taggart model. The results showed that the congklak game effectively stimulated children's logical and analytical thinking through contextual activities. The children not only learned number and pattern concepts but also practiced decision-making, collaboration, and simple problem-solving. Traditional game-based learning was proven to enhance children's engagement and understanding of basic numeracy literacy concepts.
