Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing need for tutoring services as a form of nonformal education that complements the limitations of formal school learning. SMRT Tutoring Institution in Jakarta serves as an alternative educational service that emphasizes systematic management and learner centered instruction. This research aims to describe and analyze the management of SMRT tutoring services in improving the quality of students’ learning. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving managers, tutors, and students at SMRT Tutoring Institution in Jakarta. The results indicate that the management of SMRT tutoring services is implemented through systematic program planning, appropriate organization of human resources based on competence, flexible learning implementation oriented toward students’ individual needs, and continuous supervision and evaluation. The effective application of these management functions has a positive impact on improving the quality of the learning process, enhancing students’ learning motivation, and increasing student satisfaction. This study concludes that well-planned and sustainable tutoring service management plays a strategic role in improving learning quality within nonformal education institutions.
