Author Guidelines

Submission of Articles

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors who do not adhere to these guidelines.

The paper must be original, never published in other publications, or in the deep review process in other publications (The Attached Statement).
A manuscript should be written in Indonesian or English and be submitted online via https://ejournal.uca.ac.id/index.php/istighna/ The author must register or log in in order to make the submission.
The journals are produced on A4 paper. The page margins are 2 cm left, 3 cm Top and 2 cm for Right, and 3 cm Bottom. Margins should be Fully Justified for the main text. If you are using a Mac, please be aware that these settings may be adjusted in unexpected ways.
The paper should include a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 20 pages, single-spaced and justified.
Using Century Gothic Font 11 pt and Sakkal Majjala 16 pt if there are Arabic contents.
If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
The references for the article are in the form of journals and non-journals which have been published in the last 10 years.
Using Microsoft Office / open Office with the existence of RTF, not PDF Format file.

Content Naskah
The title should be less than 15 words, in title case, in capitals, centered, and bold. SHOULD HAVE ENGLISH TITLE.
Author name without a title, including detail the institution, and email.
The abstract length should be a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 300 words; it should be confined to a single paragraph and contain neither pictures nor tables.
Keywords contain three to five words/phrases separated by a comma (;).

Systematics Guidelines
Articles must contain: A title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments, and Bibliography.
A title: The title should be less than 15 words, in title case, in capitals, centered, and bold. SHOULD HAVE ENGLISH TITLE.
Abstract: The abstract length should be a minimum of 150 words and a maximum of 300 words; it should be confined to a single paragraph and contain neither pictures nor tables.
Keywords: Keywords contain three to five words/phrases separated by a comma (;).
Introduction: The introduction should provide a clear background, a clear problem statement, relevant literature on the problem, a proposed approach or solution, a claim of contribution from the service activity, and conclude with the purpose of the service activity.
Materials and Methods: Materials and Methods contain the main materials used in community service activities and the methods used in solving problems, including analysis methods.
Results and Discussion: The results and discussion must be an objective description of the results and must align with the objectives of the community service activities undertaken. The discussion should also be supported by a bibliography.
Conclusions: The conclusion is made in one paragraph containing the main measurable contributions and impacts on society from the activities carried out and recommendations for further community service activities based on the limitations of the results achieved.
Acknowledgments: At a minimum, thanks should be addressed to the Institution and service partners (if necessary).
Bibliography: The bibliography should contain at least 10 references, referring to primary sources. References and citations should be made in APA (American Psychological Association) style, using a reference management application such as Mendeley or EndNote.

Guideline for Online Submission
The author should first register as an Author and be offered as a Reviewer through the following address: https://ejournal.uca.ac.id/index.php/dharmaabditama/user/register The author should fulfill the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textboxes are filled, the Author clicks on the Register button to proceed with the registration. Therefore, the Author is brought to the online author submission interface where the Author should click on New Submission. In the Start, a New Submission section, click on Click Here: to go to step one of the five-step submission process. The following are five steps in the online submission process:

1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: The author must check marks on the submission checklists. An author should type or copy-paste the cover letter to Comments for the Editor.
2. Step 2 - Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file (.doc/.docx) to be submitted, then click the "Upload" button until the file has been uploaded.
3. Step 3 - Entering Submissions Metadata: In this step, detailed authors' metadata should be entered including the marked corresponding author. After that, the manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
4. Step 4 - Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary files should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter. Therefore, click on the Browse button, choose the files, and then click on the Upload button.
5. Step 5 - Confirming the Submission: The author should finally check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to ISTIGHNA: Journal Islamic Education and Thought, click the Finish Submission button after the documents are ready. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgment by email and will be able to view the progress of the submission through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site.

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of the manuscript review and editorial process.
