Abstract

The study's objectives are to determine Sharia microfinance restructuring implementation in the COVID-19 pandemic and to determine the SWOT strategy (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) for the reorganization of Sharia microfinance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic (Case study: Bank X). This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach utilizing SWOT Tool analysis. This study's findings reveal that the adoption of the Sharia microfinance restructuring mechanism at Bank X was achieved by employing four steps: (1) The customers present a letter of appeal to renegotiate the amount of their installments; (2) the bank accepts the letter of appeal and conducts an analysis utilizing data on the clients' incomes prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic; and (3) the customers' monthly payments are renegotiated. (3) The bank committee makes a proposal to the head office to renegotiate the installment; (4) if the head office approves the proposal, the bank committee will create a new contract to reduce the payment. the strategy of Through sharia microfinance restructuring, the following strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats are implemented: (1) strengths; support economic growth stimulus; manage financial performance; manage liquidity and capital; and provide opportunities for business actors; (2) weaknesses: occurrence of default; not all customers can restructure; and the bank's income is very low; (3) opportunities: digitization and customer survival; and (4) threats: decreased customer
