Abstract
This research investigates the impact of knowledge and income on Generation Z's investment intention in Sharia mutual funds through online applications in the District of Karawaci, Tangerang Regency, Banten. The study employs a quantitative descriptive approach and employs Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using SmartPLS Version 4.0. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey involving 100 Generation Z respondents who possessed a comprehensive understanding of mutual funds and exhibited adequate income levels. The findings of the PLS analysis indicate that both knowledge and income exert a significant partial effect on Generation Z's investment intention. This result underscore the importance of financial literacy and income levels in shaping Generation Z's investment preferences, particularly in the context of Sharia-compliant mutual funds accessed through online platforms. The implications of this research underscore the need for targeted efforts in enhancing financial education and promoting higher income opportunities for Generation Z. Policymakers, financial institutions, and educators can leverage these insights to design tailored strategies that foster a deeper understanding of investment options and cultivate a favorable investment climate among the tech-savvy Generation Z cohort. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on the investment behavior of Generation Z, offering valuable insights for the financial industry to design customer-centric products and services that resonate with the preferences and aspirations of this digitally native demographic.
